The Secretary General of the Latin American Banking
Federation (Felaban), Giorgio Trettenero, said Tuesday that Latin America
urgently needs "long-term policies" that transcend the mandates of
each Government to ensure sustained growth and meet social demands.
No matter whether the governments are from the right or
from the left, agreements must be reached with a long-term vision, Trettenero said
in statements to Efe before the closing of the 53rd Felaban Assembly that he
has gathered in Hollywood (South Florida) about 1,800 bankers from across the
Americas and other areas.
