3 tablespoons of lavender flowers

Add the essential oils, use a stainless steel spoon to gently shake everything together with each drop of oil adding so they blend with everything else.

Place the mixture in a dark glass jar or PET plastic. Cover the bottle and allow to stand for at least 24 hours to concentrate the aroma and its properties (more is better.)

To use the homemade oatmeal, put a few tablespoons of the contents on a gauze or cloth and hold onto the area to be treated.

For an aromatherapy bath, soak the herbal gauze in the water, soak and relax for 20 minutes. Rub the gauze over your skin - it feels slippery. This is the mucilage of oats, and is very nutritious for the skin.

For a truly luxurious bath, add a spoonful of extra aromatherapy oil to moisturize your skin. Dry without rinsing, and retain moisture.
