Coca Cola expands Blockchain project for a $ 21 billion supply network

The IT firm behind the processes of the Coca-Cola bottle manufacturing supply chain seems to be testing blockchain technology.

A Business Insider report today revealed that Coke One North America (CONA), the technology company that manages IT operations for the soda bottlers, is using a blockchain solution developed by German software firm SAP to Manage your supply chain.

As noted in the report, CONA manages a platform to monitor multiple franchises that manufacture, bottle and ship about 160,000 orders of Coca-Cola products daily.

With blockchain, CONA expects to reduce the length of order reconciliation from 50 days to just a few days. A transparent and distributed organization ledger will provide real-time information on the transactions made by all the different bottlers in the network, generating more than $ 21 billion in revenue per year.
